Some weddings stop you in your tracks. Natalie and Rhys’s wedding at Tower Hill Barns in North Wales on 29th June 2025 was one of those days — a warm summer celebration full of laughter, love, wildflowers, and one of the most touching moments we’ve ever had the privilege of photographing.

Getting Ready at Tower Hill Barns

The morning began with Natalie and her nine bridesmaids getting ready together at the venue — all matching pink pyjamas, prosecco in hand, and plenty of laughter echoing off the stone walls. The energy in that room was everything a getting-ready morning should be.

Meanwhile, Rhys was outside with his groomsmen and page boys — the little ones in matching sage green suits were absolutely adorable. The whole group looked brilliant.

Natalie’s dress was stunning — a heavily beaded, intricately embroidered lace fitted gown with a flowing train. The detail in it was extraordinary, and it suited her perfectly.

A Special Moment Before the Ceremony

Before heading out to the ceremony, Natalie had a quiet moment with her grandfather — the man who would walk her down the aisle. The pride on his face and the joy on hers said it all. One of those photographs that will mean more with every passing year.

The Outdoor Ceremony at Tower Hill Barns

Tower Hill Barns has one of the most beautiful outdoor ceremony spaces in North Wales — a rustic open-sided pergola draped in greenery, surrounded by rolling countryside and lush gardens. On a June day, it’s absolutely magical.

As guests took their seats on the wooden benches, Rhys waited at the altar — taking a sweet moment to cuddle one of the little ones before the ceremony began. Then Natalie appeared, arm in arm with her grandfather, walking through the wildflower gardens towards the man she was about to marry.

The ceremony backdrop was breathtaking — a full white floral arch against the rustic wooden wall of the barn, lush greenery tumbling from the pergola above. Natalie and Rhys held hands in front of it and exchanged their vows surrounded by everyone they love.

Drinks Reception in the Tower Hill Barns Gardens

After the ceremony, guests spilled out onto the beautiful stone terrace for the drinks reception — prosecco and canapés, summer sunshine (mostly!), and the kind of relaxed, happy atmosphere that only comes when everyone in a room genuinely loves the couple at the centre of it all.

Couple Portraits in the Wildflower Gardens

Tower Hill Barns’ grounds are a photographer’s dream — wildflower meadows, manicured hedgerows, rolling Welsh hills in every direction. We took Natalie and Rhys out for their portrait session and the results were simply stunning.

The Wedding Reception

The barn interior at Tower Hill Barns was dressed to perfection — white florals cascading from a full circular arch, tall statement arrangements on either side, candles on every table, and in the centre of it all, a neon sign that read “Til Death Do Us Party”. Honestly, one of the most beautifully styled reception rooms we’ve ever photographed.

Speeches, Same Day Edit & Golden Hour

The speeches were a real highlight — and the star was Natalie’s grandfather, who not only walked her down the aisle but then stood up and delivered a speech that had the whole room in the palm of his hand. What a man.

We also produced a Same Day Edit film for Natalie and Rhys — a short cinematic highlight film edited and screened on the day itself. Watching the couple see their wedding day played back to them just hours after it happened is one of the most incredible things to witness. The look on their faces says it all.

And here’s the video so you can see what they were watching:

As the evening drew in, we slipped outside with Natalie and Rhys for some golden hour portraits on the lawn — and the light was absolutely perfect. That warm, end-of-day glow through the trees, her dress trailing across the grass, just the two of them. One of those shots you don’t plan, you just get lucky.

The Evening Party

The evening at Tower Hill Barns was everything — a brilliant live band in the stone-walled bar, the neon sign glowing, cheese on the table and not a single person sitting down. Rhys was absolutely living his best life on the dancefloor, and the energy in that room was electric from start to finish.
