The location for Jill and Matt’s pre-wedding shoot was this Grade II listed heritage railway station museum located on the Wirral Way footpath in Willaston. The path follows the route of the Hooton to West Kirby railway line, which closed in the 1950s. A small section of the track is still in place at Hadlow Station as well as the platform and buildings including the recently restored signal box (see Hadlow Road Station Community Group for more info about the station).
It may seem a bit of an indulgance to have a separate photo shoot before the wedding, but there are some real advantages. Firstly it’s a chance to get some lovely professional images in everyday clothes. It’s also a chance to have a zero stress practice of being in front of the camera. This can be a big confidence booster for the wedding day.
If you’ve booked us for your wedding photography, or are thinking of doing so, adding a pre-wedding shoot costs just £125 including the edited image files (typically 30+ images). We usually do the shoot about a month before the wedding, at a mutually convenient time, typically a weekday evening in the hour preceeding sunset. You can also add a Signature Frame for your wedding guests to sign on the day, which will include a shot from the pre-wedding session. This can be replaced with a wedding photograph after the big day. The Signature frame is just £75 when added to the Pre-Wedding Shoot.
