Some weddings feel like a warm hug from start to finish. Lindsay and Mike’s wedding at West Tower in Aughton, near Ormskirk on 19th June 2026 was exactly that — an elegant, joy-filled day in one of West Lancashire’s most characterful venues, packed full of moments that made everyone in the room reach for the tissues (in the best way).
And the moment that did it for everyone? Lindsay was walked down the aisle by her son. Not a dry eye in the house.
The morning started calmly and beautifully, with Lindsay and her bridesmaids getting ready in their matching cream silk pyjama sets — hair being pinned, prosecco being poured, and that lovely mix of excitement and nerves that makes wedding mornings so special.

Lindsay’s details were exquisite — pearl-embellished heels, drop pearl earrings, and a Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia scenting the room. Her bouquet was a classic beauty: cream and white roses with soft eucalyptus greenery.

West Tower is a stunning venue — a historic Lancashire manor with its own ivy-clad tower (yes, an actual tower!), beautiful stone terraces and elegant interiors. Guests arrived to drinks on the courtyard terrace, catching up in the June sunshine under the ivy-draped walls.

The ceremony took place in West Tower’s beautiful staircase room, styled with tall white floral pedestals, an arched floral wall and candlelight. But before any of that, there was the moment everyone had been waiting for: Lindsay appearing at the top of the stairs on the arm of her son, in her stunning lace mermaid gown and long veil.
He looked so proud walking her down to Mike — and Mike’s face when he saw her said absolutely everything. It was one of those moments we feel genuinely privileged to capture.

Vows were exchanged, rings were placed on fingers, and then came the first kiss — hand on cheek, candlelight flickering, cheers from everyone.

The recessional was pure joy — Lindsay and Mike walked back up the aisle hand in hand as husband and wife, grinning from ear to ear.

The celebrations spilled outside for a proper confetti exit through the glass doors, before we took some time exploring West Tower’s grounds with the newlyweds — from the manor’s iconic tower to the surrounding countryside fields.

Lindsay and Mike made their big party entrance in style — novelty sunglasses on, wedding party flanking them with arms raised, the lot. Then came speeches full of laughter, a few surprises, and plenty of toasts at the top table in front of that gorgeous white rose floral wall.

The evening was a proper party — a packed dancefloor, sunshine streaming through the windows, and guests of every age up on their feet. Lindsay was right in the middle of it all, dress and veil flowing, absolutely loving every second.

We finished the day with one last portrait — Lindsay and Mike framed in the venue’s stone archway, backlit into the most beautiful silhouette. The perfect end to a perfect day.

Lindsay and Mike — thank you so much for having us with you to capture your day. From that emotional walk down the aisle with your son to the sunshine-filled evening party, every moment was a joy to photograph. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
