Lisa and Mark were married at Our Lady & Saint John’s Catholic Church in Heswall, before heading to one of my favourite reception venues, The Little Fox. With a 4pm ceremony in December, it was already getting dark when I arrived at the church, so it truly was a twilight wedding.

Twilight weddings are becoming more and more popular. They’re a relatively new idea, and they make a great alternative to the usual full day affair. If you’re wondering what a twilight wedding is, they tend to go like this:
If you’re thinking of having a twilight wedding, please get in touch, I’d love to find out more about your wedding plans and can put together a photography/video package to suit your needs.
Our Lady & Saint John’s is quite a modern church, and I really like the way it looks on the inside.

With it being a December wedding, Mark and the guests gathered inside the church before things got started.

Lisa looked stunning in her dress when she arrived at the church.

After the ceremony I spent a few minutes with the happy couple getting some nice relaxed photographs of the two of them.

The Little Fox is attached to The Red Fox pub in Thornton Hough on the Wirral. It’s at the side of the pub with a separate entrance, and you might hardly notice it if you were going to the pub (arguably the best one on the Wirral BTW).

However, despite appearances The Little Fox is actually quite large on the inside, easily big enough for most weddings. It’s split into 2 main rooms, the first includes the bar, and has a similar ambiance to a really nice pub. This is where Lisa, Mark and their guests relaxed with some drinks before the evening party really started.

The evening really got going when the second room was opened up and Lisa and Mark cut the cake before their first dance.
