Wedding photographer, Sarah, captured this fantastic wedding at the beautifully restored Isla Gladstone conservatory in Liverpool.
Sarah started the day with the girls at Chloe’s sister’s home in Walton.
The Isla Gladstone Conservatory dates back to the original creation of Stanley Park in 1870. It was part of park designer Edward Kemp’s vision to create a usable park space in North Liverpool. The 20th century saw the building fall into disrepair, overrun with weeds and hidden behind anti-vandal boards.
Following a major restoration of the building and the surrounding park in 2007, the conservatory was re-opened and is now a popular venue for weddings and corporate events. So almost 150 years after being built, it was the setting for Chloe and Anthony’s wedding celebrations.
After the ceremony it was time for drinks, canapés and lots of mingling. The Isla Gladstone is a lovely venue for this part of the day, with plenty of space for folks to relax both inside and out.
As the daylight recedes the ambience of the space changes completely. From a light airy venue to an atmospheric scene lit subtly with fairy lights and candles. It makes a truly romantic setting for the first dance.
