Owen House – An amazing new Wedding Venue in Cheshire
One of the nice things about photographing weddings in Cheshire is the exciting new venues that keep appearing. It’s one of the best places in England to get married (in our opinion), largely thanks to a huge choice of amazing locations. Owen House Wedding Barnis one of the newest options, and is similar in some ways to Sandhole Oak Barnand Heaton House Farm. Like the other two, it’s a working farm, extended to create a bespoke, unique and exclusive family run wedding venue.
Getting Ready in the Beauty Shed
Getting ready in a ‘Beauty Shed’ might not sound very glamorous, but actually it’s really fantastic. The shed is almost next door to the dedicated ceremony room at Owen House, so it’s really convenient. It’s spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated to make it a very photogenic spot for you and your bridesmaids to get ready.
A Winter Wedding With Real Snow
It’s pretty rare to have snow on your wedding day. Hannah and Mark’s big day was one of those occasions though. The first flurry came down just before the marriage ceremony. As Hannah and her dad made their way from the Beauty Shed to the Ceremony Room there’s a short section with no cover, so you can see the snow coming down on them.
The Wedding Barn at Owen House Farm
The wedding barn itself is one of the most stunning venues in Cheshire. It’s beautifully lit with hundreds of old fashioned filament bulbs as well as thousands of fairy lights.
Speeches in the Wedding Barn
After drinks and canapes by the bar, everyone made their way to their seats for the wedding breakfast in the barn. This was followed by fantastic speeches from Hannah’s dad, Mark and the guys. The staff and caterers at Owen House Wedding Barn did a great job of setting up the room so that it really was a gorgeous backdrop. The food, supplied by Vanilla in all Seasons (one of two caterers available at Owen House) was delicious and we really enjoyed the cheescake, thanks guys!
The Evening Party
The Wedding Barn at Owen House was turned around for the evening, so it was nice to see the guys from Madison wedding band setting up. We’ve worked with them many times over the years, and they’re definately one of the best bands in the Cheshire and Liverpool area. It didn’t take long to get the party started.
