Wedding Photography at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel – Christine & Geoff

One of our last Pre-Covid Weddings

The middle of March 2020 seems like a long time ago right now (mid February 2021). It was less than a week before the first lockdown, people were discouraged from wearing masks back then, and weddings were fairly unrestricted. Looking back at the pictures from Christine & Geoff’s Gibbon Bridge wedding, it’s so nice to see everyone interacting and mixing freely and something we can all look forward to, hopefully in the not too distant future.

The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Lancashire

A family run business, founded in 1982 by Janet Simpson, Gibbon Bridge is an idyllic wedding venue, set in the stunningly beautiful Forest of Bowland in Lancashire. In 1995 the hotel hosted the first civil ceremony in Lancashire outside of the Registry Office, and has become an increasingly popular wedding location ever since.

Both Christine and Geoff chose to get ready at the hotel. Gibbon Bridge has 30 bedrooms to choose from including the Staple Oak split level suite where Christine and the girls got ready.

Getting Married in the Orangery

Christine & Geoff chose to get married in the Orangery. This bright and modern room opens out to the terrace, and it’s a stunning location for small to medium sized weddings.

Enjoying the Gardens

After the ceremony the happy couple and their guests were able to enjoy the fantastic gardens. In the summer the bandstand can be used for outdoor ceremonies (such as Kirsty & Steven’s wedding). The gardens are extensive, and stylishly landscaped forming a stunning backdrop for the drinks reception.

Gibbon Bridge Wedding Breakfast

The conservatory make a gorgeous setting for any wedding breakfast, with views over the gardens to the hills beyond.

Party Time

After the wedding breakfast it was time to party with some evening drinks and of course, the first dance:
